Getting a mortgage with bad credit14-01-2011date

Many people across the UK may be suffering from some bad credit history which obviously may impair their ability to apply for a loan or a mortgage.

In this case scenario it is normal for banks and building societies to simply reject those applications if they fail the credit score. If you are trying to get onto the property ladder or perhaps are considering re-mortgaging and feel that your credit history may affect you or reduce your prospects of being able to get a mortgage with a High Street lender, that may not necessarily always be the case as lenders criteria differ from one to another. There are still some High Street lenders where, providing the applicants pass the normal credit score, cases can be approved but if that fails we do have contacts with other mortgage companies (one in particular that is owned by a major High Street building society) who will take a more open minded view where someone has had historical bad credit thus increasing an applicants prospects of obtaining the mortgage they require. Clearly in these cases the rates will more expensive depending on the circumstances but again we invite you, if you think you have some bad credit history, to contact us or complete a fact find and we will do all we can to help. Obviously we will let you know beforehand of rates, any charges etc which may be applicable in this case scenario.

Like others, you might want to apply for one of many online bad credit mortgages, mortgages designed to help you despite your bad credit history.
